Fencing questions

What the rates include and where they move.

For a shared boundary fence, yes — it's worth a conversation before we quote, especially if the cost is being split under the Fencing Act.

Most standard boundary fencing doesn't need one. Retaining walls over a certain height, or fencing tied into a pool, often do — we'll tell you upfront if yours does.

Yes — we step or rake the fence line to follow the ground, or combine it with a retaining wall where the drop is significant.

Paling boards butt together for full privacy. Batten (slat) fencing has gaps between boards for a more open, modern look with some airflow.

No. The visit and the written quote are free anywhere inside our service radius.

A deposit on booking for material orders, the balance on completion. Progress payments are available on larger jobs.
